The first step to becoming popular in college is stepping out of your comfort zone.
As a college student, it can be hard to step out of your bubble and meet new people.However, if you push yourself and step out of your comfort zone, you will make a bunch of new friends.
If you have trouble talking to other students, remember that many college students are in college to meet new people, have new experiences and create memories.
Many students have trouble making friends throughout their college years, because they don’t step out of their comfort zone. The last thing you want is to graduate college and wish that you would’ve gone out and socialized more.

Nowadays, if you want to be popular in college, you really have to use social media. Popular students in college will be very active on social media apps like Snapchat and Instagram.
This means making Instagram posts, posting on your stories and interacting with others on social media. This might sound controversial, but in today’s day and age, the way you interact on social media might be more important than how you interact in real life.
For better or for worse, many people will attribute value to someone who has a lot of followers on social media and see them as more popular. Naturally, the more active you are on social media, the more followers you will get.

Having a core group of friends is a major key to being popular in college. If you’re always hopping from friend group to friend group, chances are you don’t have any good friends in college.

I was pretty lucky in college, as my best friends were the same friends I had from high school. This was great because we were all in related programs so we would have a lot of classes together.
It was easier to meet new people and make new friends when I already had a group of friends.
Having a good group friends also came in handy when I was facing hard times. It’s important to have good friends that you can talk to and not just friends who only want to party and have fun.

If you’re fun to hangout with, more people will want you in their social circles. Whether if it’s because you’re really funny or fun at parties, it’s important to be an enjoyable person to be around.
If you have trouble with this, it honestly takes practice and developing social skills. It’s important to be able to have interesting conversations and have a good sense of humour.
College is the best time to develop these social skills because they will come in handy later on in life.
Just like being popular in college has its benefits, so does being popular after college. If you work in an office after college, knowing how to interact with others will come in handy.
No matter what you do in life, there will always be a dynamic where certain people are more popular and well liked than others.
9. Attend College Events
Attending college events is one of the easiest ways to meet new people. By attending a college football game or college events, you will meet plenty of new people.
Networking at college events is another way to meet new people on campus and become more popular. If your goal is to become popular in college, you are going to want to meet as many people as possible and make a lot of friends.
The more friends you make, the more events you will be invited to and the more parties you will be invited to. This will also make you a familiar face around campus where other students know who you are.
10. Never Say No to A Party
Now, this title may be a bit misleading, however it is true to a certain extent. Obviously, in college your main priority is doing your school work.
If you’re academically responsible and organized, then you should almost never have to say no to a party. When people ask you to party or hangout, the more available you are, the more you will be invited.
When other students are deciding who they are going to invite to a party, they’re always going to invite the people who party a lot.
When I was in college, I would go to a ton of parties, because people knew I was fun and I would meet a lot of people at parties. Once you’re in that circle of people who party in college, you will always be invited.
By going to parties, I would meet plenty of people at my college. When I would walk around campus many people knew me from partying with me.
It’s pretty simple, the more you party, the more people you meet, thus resulting in you becoming popular around campus.
