Gap makes very comfortable clothing. Before Gap was back in style, when I needed comfortable sweaters I would get them at the Gap.

Gap is cool again. In the late 1990’s and early 2000’s gap was popular. Like most fashion trends, overtime the hype dies down. Like Champion, the Gap has become popular again because there is a sense of nostalgia attached to the brand. The retro look, the fact that it’s affordable and the release of new styles has made Gap cool again.
What is Yeezy GAP?
Yeezy Gap is the collaboration between rapper, fashion icon Kanye West and Gap. On September 29, 2021, the Gap released the Yeezy Gap collection. The collaboration includes hoodies in many different colours, that retail for $90 in adult sizes and $70 in children’s sizes.
The Yeezy Gap collaboration is currently the most traded item on popular resell app Stock X. The items are currently reselling for just a bit over the retail price.
The sweaters are quite plain and simple looking, which is a current a popular aesthetic.

Is Yeezy Gap Worth it?
The Yeezy Gap sweater retails for $90 and is not a ground breaking look. If you’re a fan of Kanye West, then this product is worth it.
However $90 is a very high price point for a plain sweater from the Gap. There are other alternatives that are easier to get and more affordable such as the oversized hoodie from Abercrombie, which looks very similar.
Is Gap Becoming More Popular?
If you asked consumers about the Gap in 2019, many people would have said that it’s an established brand, but not one that’s particularly stylish or trendy. Gap is in many malls across North America. However in the last 10 years, it hasn’t been popular among teens and young people.
Over the last year, Gap has done a great job marketing towards the younger generation by releasing the teen collection and the Yeezy Gap collaboration.
The Gap has kept their affordable pricing, while releasing new and trendy clothing – only adding to their new popularity. On TikTok, influencers make videos showing off what they’ve purchased at the Gap for incredibly low prices.
Gap Factory hauls go viral as TikTokers show off the great deals they’ve found at 50% off or more.
Whether this was intentional or not, this has encouraged others to shop at the Gap. Currently, the brown Gap hoodie has become super popular and is everywhere on TikTok.
Young adults and teenagers look on social media to see the latest fashion trends and styles. Gap releasing the teen collection and the Yeezy Gap collaboration was a great way to make Gap cool again!
Is Gap Just a Trend?
Gap is currently at the height of its popularity. For the last 15 years, Gap hasn’t been a relevant fashion brand. Gap has become popular once again because of it’s affordable, comfy, stylish and retro look.
When I look at the Gap, it reminds me a lot of Champion. A few years ago, it felt as if Champion was in the same spot. Champion was a clothing brand that consumers forgot about, and thanks to good marketing, Champion became stylish again.
Fashion trends come and go. The Gap is currently very popular and is expected to remain trendy for years to come.
