For a first date there are endless possibilities of what you can do. It’s important to know how to dress no matter what kind of date you are going on. As a teen, it can be hard to know what to wear on a first date.

A casual date can be going to the mall or going to a restaurant. Knowing what to wear can be tricky for a casual date, so play it safe.

The Instagram trick is that you search the restaurant you are going to under “places” on Instagram. By doing this, you’ll see pictures of other people that went to the restaurant. This hack will allow you to see what other people usually wear to that restaurant.
A nice outfit suggestion for a fancy restaurant is a white dress shirt with a simple pattern and some blue chinos. You can match this outfit up with some dress shoes or some clean sneakers. If you show up in this outfit, you will look great and be dressed properly for the occasion.
Outdoor Date
An outdoor date is a very common first date for teens. If you’re just meeting up with your date outside, don’t overthink. Just dress how you are comfortable. Make sure you’re well groomed and look your best.

The worst way to make a first impression is to be late to your first date. Do your best to arrive a little early so you don’t leave your date waiting.

Wearing cologne, especially if you are young, will impress your date. Guys often only start wearing cologne when they get a little older. If you start wearing it before other guys, you will stand out. Trust me – girls find cologne on a guy very attractive.

Accessories will elevate your outfit and can be great conversation pieces. Wearing a necklace , chain, bracelet or watch will spice up any of the outfits that I recommend.

As a teenager your hygiene is so important! Make sure that before you go on your date that you shower, put on deodorant, do your hair and brush your teeth before leaving the house.
Taking care of your hygiene is something that is great to get into the habit of doing. Bad breath and a guy that smells bad are huge turn offs for girls!

Having good posture will make you look taller, is better for your back and will make you look more manly. Remember to stand up tall and straight with your shoulders up and your chest out. Having good posture will always be important no matter how old you are.

Confidence is something girls always find attractive in a man. Your physical appearance doesn’t matter as much as you think, as long as you are confident in yourself and your outfit. If you dress your best, have posture and good hygiene, you will come off well put together and confident.

It’s better to avoid wearing harmful or offensive clothing on a first date. Remember the way you dress is a direct reflection of yourself.
When making you are making a first impression play it safe and stick with a simple outfit.

Never wear dirty clothes on a date. If your outfit smells or has visible stains on it avoid wearing it at all costs. At the very least do your best to find some clean clothing. Your date will be turned off if you show up in clothes that looks like it was just worked in or worn for the last few days.
Overdressing
Avoid overdressing! I know it’s your first date and you want to look good, but if you show up in a suit on a date at the mall you will come off as weird. Follow my recommendations and you will be fine.
