What is Uniqlo?

Uniqlo is a Japanese fast fashion clothing brand known for using innovative and long lasting materials to make good quality products at affordable prices. When it comes to fast fashion brands, only H&M and Zara are more popular than Uniqlo.

At Uniqlo, consumers can shop for many different styles of clothing. Influenced heavily by Japanese fashion, Uniqlo has a different fit and unique style than other brands.

Uniqlo has grown greatly in popularity in the last 5 years and shows no signs of slowing down. In Asia, Uniqlo stores have been around and popular for a while, but only recently has Uniqlo become well known in North America.

Uniqlo is a great store for wardrobe staples and basics as it’s stylish, affordable and long lasting.

5 Reasons Uniqlo is a Good Clothing Brand

Uniqlo is a clothing brand and loved by consumers for many different reasons. Here are 5 different reasons that Uniqlo is a good brand:

Good Quality

When it comes to fast fashion brands, Uniqlo makes the best quality clothes of it’s competitors and is the most comfortable. Compared to H&M and Zara, Uniqlo makes clothes that are long lasting, super comfy and still affordable.

Uniqlo differentiates itself from it’s competitors as they use high quality and innovative materials on their products.

Some innovative fabrics that Uniqlo uses are:

  • HEATTECH
  • Block Tech
  • Shape Wear

Uniqlo claims that the HEATTECH technology will actually turn moisture into warmth.

Nowadays, it’s very hard to buy long lasting clothes on a budget, but Uniqlo does just that. The pricing is still very affordable for a good quality product.

A personal favourite of mine are the Uniqlo sweatpants. After having them for over a year, and washing them many times, they still look great.

Selection

Uniqlo has a huge selection of clothing. At Uniqlo you’ll find sweatpants, t-shirts, sweaters, jackets and pretty much any other clothing item you can think of for men and women.

The huge selection is what makes Uniqlo so good. If you’re looking for some basics for your wardrobe, Uniqlo is a great place to shop. You will find everything you need and it will still be at an affordable price.

Diverse Styles

At Uniqlo they have a huge selection of different styles for both men and women.

One thing that separates Uniqlo from other fast fashion brands is they have different styles than other stores. Generally, most fast fashion brands have very simple clothing, but that is not the case for Uniqlo.

Uniqlo does not just have the wardrobe basics. They have knit sweaters, oversized shirts and any fit of pants that you can think of.

Uniqlo also does collaborations with different companies. A personal favourite of mine, is the Uniqlo collaboration with New York artist and designer Kaws.

Worldwide Uniqlo has seen a lot of success. The first Uniqlo store opened in Japan in 1984. In 2017, there were 372 stores. Now, Uniqlo has over 1000 locations across the world.

By the looks of it, Uniqlo is only going to become more popular and accessible to consumers.
